    Pi Kappa Alpha's commitment to learning extends beyond the classroom. Spanning from education on possible pitfalls of college and Greek Life to useful skills in the corporate world, the chapter strives to enhance the college experience for its members through education.

    Anti-hazing 

    • The 2008 documentary "Haze" by Pete Schuermann (full video in link) was "created with the intent of placing a focus on the issues of binge drinking, alcohol-laden hazing rituals, and rapid-fire drinking games."  Highly recommended.
    • "Enough is Enough" and "The Pledge" are two powerful hazing awareness videos made in memory of Jack Phoummarath, a victim of alcohol-related hazing at the University of Texas in 2005.  Click here to go to Jack's site, or on the above movie titles for each video's page.
    • HazingPrevention.org:  A terrific site with information and statistics regarding hazing, as well as lots of resources for hazing education, National Hazing Prevention Week, and web seminars.

     

     

    Leadership Resources

    • Tyler Blair's leadership blog of the EDU 270 class focusing on Greek Life Leadership at The Ohio State University.  Many Pikes were in this Fall 2010 class. 
    • T.J. Sullivan has a large blog archive on a wide range of topics in Greek Leadership.  A great way to absorb new leadership techniques for difficult scenarios.  Also has a limited media section.
