Pi Kappa Alpha - Alpha Rho

Congratulations to Zack Rubin-McCarry for winning both the Outstanding Senior Award and the Stanley D. Gottsegen Leadership Award for his work with Pi Kappa Alpha and the Interfraternity Council.  The Oustanding Senior Award is given to the top 1% of senior student leaders on campus who excel in leadership, service, and scholarship throughout their tenure at OSU.  The Stanley D. Gottsegen Leadership Award is given to recognize the very top student leader on campus, and comes with a $1,000 scholarship.

 

Congratuations to Matt Keaton for winning the University Outstanding First-Year Student Award on campus.  Like the Senior award, the award recognizes the very top first-year students who excel in leadership, service, and scholarship.

 

Congratulations to Brother Rubin-Mcarry and Brother Keaton on their accomplishments.

Goalie Justin Riccobene, pictured below with his team, anchored the Red Wings Advanced League hockey team to an intramural championship.  Justin also gives his time coaching youth hockey in the Columbus area.  Congratulations to Brother Riccobene on his accomplishment!

Congratulations to Noah Scovill, who won the spirit category at Big Man on Campus, a talent and leadership competition for men in all student organizations on campus.  Big Man is open to the entire Ohio State campus community and gives opportunites to all student organizations to donate to Delta Zeta's philanthropy, Columbus Speech and Hearing Center and The Painted Turtle Camp.

Defending Fraternity Cup champions Pi Kappa Alpha dominated in their season opener last week, intercepting Acacia seven times and consistantly finding the end zone on offense en route to a 38-0 victory.

 

Pike next meets Alpha Gamma Sigma Thursday 10/21 at 8:30pm (Beekman Park Field 3).

Endless choruses of “Who’s house?” “Pike’s house!” have been echoing all over campus this quarter, and with good reason:
Alpha Rho chapter has been dominant in their pursuit of athletic excellence.

The track and field competition during Greek Week, known as the Greek Olympics on campus, saw Pi Kappa Alpha finish near the top of every category.  The video below from thelantern.com about the event leads off with a video of our victory over Alpha Sigma Phi and a complimentary interview nod from their vanquished anchor.
